Cryogenic Gate Valve – Extended Bonnet Design for LNG/LPG Low Temperature Service

Cryogenic Gate Valves feature extended bonnet construction positioning packing and stem seal components away from cryogenic temperatures while body materials (CF8M, LCB, LCC) maintain toughness and ductility at temperatures to -196°C (-320°F). This specialized design serves African LNG terminals, cryogenic storage facilities, and low-temperature processing plants handling liquefied natural gas, liquid nitrogen, and other cryogenic fluids.

Serving African cryogenic applications from Egyptian LNG export terminals to South African industrial gas facilities, cryogenic gate valves handle DN 15 to DN 600 (1/2″ to 24″) low-temperature service in Class 150-600 ratings per BS 6364 and ASME B16.34 low-temperature extensions. The extended bonnet design protects elastomeric seals from embrittlement while specialized low-temperature trim materials maintain sealing capability—critical for LNG import/export terminals, cryogenic tank farms, and industrial gas processing across African and international markets. See our Gate Valve category for general context.
