The jacketed design maintains fluid temperature through the valve, preventing blockage and ensuring reliable operation with materials like molten sulfur, heated oils, and viscous polymers.

Steam, hot oil, or electric heating elements circulate through the jacket cavity, maintaining body temperature 20-50°C above fluid solidification point. This thermal management is critical for African chemical plants processing heated materials and mining operations handling molten sulfur where valve blockage causes costly production interruptions.
