High Performance • Durable • Leak Proof
Cast Iron Plug Valve for reliable shut-off and dependable flow control in industrial pipeline applications.
Industrial piping systems often need a reliable shut-off valve that is quick in action and works effectively with liquids, gases, and utilities. The Cast Iron Plug Valve uses a rotating plug to open or close the passage. It is small-sized, needs little operating torque and has a simple construction. Thus, it is ideal for general purposes in industries where the valves have to be operated many times and maintenance should be easy. African Valve is a Top Cast Iron Plug Valve Manufacturer in Africa, manufacturing and supplying Cast Iron Plug Valves in different pressure classes, port designs, end connections, and operating configurations for projects across Nigeria, Egypt, South Africa, Kenya, Ghana, and other African countries, along with international export destinations.
Working Principle of Cast Iron Plug Valve is very simple. A tapered or cylindrical plug containing a hole within rotates 90 degrees in the valve housing. When the hole is in line with the pipe, fluid can pass through the valve easily. However, when the plug is rotated to close the valve, fluid passage will be blocked, giving positive closure. With fewer components in the valve, there is easy movement, and it becomes ideal for utility applications where isolation is required.
The design features a cast iron body, precision-machined plug, stem assembly, gland packing, bonnet, and operating lever or gearbox. Depending on the service conditions, lubricated or non-lubricated designs can be supplied, together with flanged or threaded end connections for easy installation.
