Dual Plate Flanged Check Valve Manufacturer in Africa
Product Introduction
Backflow prevention is essential in piping systems where reverse flow can damage pumps, compressors, and other process equipment. A Dual Plate Flanged Check Valve is designed to permit flow in one direction while automatically preventing reverse flow when the upstream pressure decreases. Its dual-plate construction reduces valve weight and operating torque, while the flanged end connections provide a secure installation for medium and high-pressure pipeline systems. African Valve is a Leading Dual Plate Flanged Check Valve Manufacturer in Africa, manufacturing and supplying Dual Plate Flanged Check Valves in various material grades, pressure classes, end connections, and seat configurations for projects across Nigeria, Egypt, South Africa, Kenya, Ghana, and other African countries, along with international export destinations.
How Does a Dual Plate Flanged Check Valve Operate?
The incoming flow pushes apart the two plates which are spring-loaded from the seat, thus allowing free flow in the pipeline. When there is any reduction in the flow rate or the occurrence of reverse pressure, the two plates move back to their closed position due to the effect of the torsion spring before the reverse flow starts.
Valve Construction
This valve features a small housing, semi-circular discs, hinge pin, torsion spring, seating surface, and holding device. These plates move separately about a shaft with minimal stroke distance needed for complete operation. As against conventional swing check valves, the reduced distance of stroke ensures less friction inside the components and rapid action in changing flows. This is due to flange end connections that offer precise alignment in bigger pipe installations.
The valve is manufactured using: Carbon Steel – ASTM A216 WCB Stainless Steel – ASTM A351 CF8 / CF8M Duplex Stainless Steel – ASTM A995 Grade 4A Super Duplex Stainless Steel – ASTM A995 Grade 5A Cast Iron – ASTM A126 Class B Construction features include: Dual Spring-Loaded Disc Design Precision Machined Valve Seat Stainless Steel Hinge Pin Torsion Spring Closing Mechanism Replaceable Soft or Metal Seat Raised Face and Ring Type Joint Flanged Ends Compact Body Construction Size Range: DN50 to DN1200 (2" to 48") Pressure Ratings: Class 150, 300, 600 | PN10, PN16, PN25, PN40 Design Standards: API 594, ASME B16.34 Face-to-Face Standard: API 594 Testing Standard: API 598 End Connections: Flanged Operation: Automatic Dual Plate Flanged Check Valves are widely used in: Water Transmission Pipelines Pumping Stations Oil and Gas Pipelines Power Generation Facilities Chemical Processing Plants Marine Systems LNG Terminals Process Utility Networks Dual plate mechanism provides rapid valve closure Spring-assisted operation minimizes water hammer Compact body reduces installation space Low pressure drop during forward flow Available with soft or metal seated configurations Manufactured according to internationally recognized engineering standards Dual Plate Flanged Check Valves are manufactured according to international engineering standards and customer project specifications. Every valve undergoes dimensional inspection, hydrostatic shell testing, seat leakage testing, spring performance verification, operational testing, and final quality inspection before dispatch. Material Test Certificates (MTC), pressure test reports, inspection records, and supporting documentation are available to satisfy engineering, procurement, and project compliance requirements. African Valve supplies Dual Plate Flanged Check Valves to water infrastructure projects, energy facilities, processing plants, marine installations, and pipeline systems throughout Nigeria, Egypt, South Africa, Kenya, Ghana, and other African countries. Valves are available in multiple material grades, pressure classes, seat configurations, and flange standards to meet project-specific non-return flow requirements.
