Cryogenic ball valve
Comprehensive range of cryogenic ball valve for industrial applications across Africa. International standards compliant, reliable performance, expert support.
Cryogenic Ball Valve – Engineered for Cryogenic Service
Cryogenic Ball Valves feature specialized design modifications for reliable operation at cryogenic temperatures down to -196°C (-320°F), including extended bonnets to keep packing above freezing, impact-tested materials (typically 304L/316L stainless steel or 9% nickel steel), and specialized seats (PEEK, Devlon, or metal) that maintain sealing capability at extreme low temperatures.
The extended bonnet design positions stem packing outside the cryogenic zone, preventing ice formation and maintaining leak-tight stem sealing. Special trim materials resist embrittlement at liquid nitrogen and LNG temperatures where carbon steel becomes brittle and fractures under impact. Fire-safe metal seats provide emergency shutoff if polymer seats fail during cryogenic incidents.
Our Cryogenic Ball Valve range serves global LNG infrastructure from African export terminals to international receiving facilities, delivering reliable isolation in services where standard ball valves fail catastrophically due to material embrittlement, seat degradation, or thermal contraction issues.
