African Valve supplies DIN globe valves in Morocco for pipelines where flow needs to be adjusted as well as isolated. They are used across steam, water, chemical, power and general industrial systems.
Unlike a simple isolation valve, a globe valve changes the opening between the disc and seat as the stem moves. This makes it useful when the flow rate needs to be controlled during operation.
Engineering Design & Operation
A globe valve uses a moving disc and fixed seat. Turning the handwheel moves the stem and changes the distance between them. Opening the valve gradually increases the available flow area, while closing it brings the disc onto the seat.
DIN/EN globe valves can be supplied with flanged or welded connections, depending on the selected construction. Manual handwheel operation is common, while larger or automated systems may use gear or actuator arrangements.
