Function & Working
Foot valves are installed at the bottom of the suction line in vertical pump applications. When the pump starts, the valve opens to allow fluid to enter. Once the pump stops, the valve closes immediately due to backpressure and gravity, preventing reverse flow and keeping the pump primed for the next operation.
