Cryogenic pneumatic actuated globe valves combine extended bonnet cryogenic design with air-operated actuators, enabling automated flow control and emergency shutdown in LNG liquefaction, storage, and loading systems across African export terminals. Pneumatic actuation provides fail-safe positioning (fail-open or fail-closed) critical for safety instrumented systems (SIS) protecting against overpressure, tank overflow, and emergency depressurization scenarios in large-scale LNG facilities handling massive cryogenic fluid volumes.
The pneumatic actuator mounts above the extended bonnet, maintaining actuator components at ambient temperature while controlling cryogenic process fluid below. Spring-return designs enable predictable failure modes during instrument air loss events, meeting IEC 61508 functional safety requirements for Nigerian, Mozambican, and international LNG projects requiring SIL-rated emergency shutdown valves.
