What Maintenance Advantages Does a Three Piece Ball Valve Offer?
Unlike one-piece and two-piece designs, the three-piece design allows for easy separation between the central body and the flanged ends, which continue to be connected to the pipeline. It then becomes easier to inspect and replace the ball, seats, and stem seals without removing the whole pipeline. When in use, the pneumatic actuator utilizes compressed air to rotate the ball through 90 degrees to start or stop the flow.
Valve Construction
Its construction features a three-piece flanged body, precision-machined floating ball, blow-out proof stem, seat assemblies, ISO 5211 mounting platform, and a pneumatic actuator. Depending on the application, the actuator may be supplied in double acting or spring return configuration. Solenoid valves, air filter regulators, limit switches, positioners, and visual indicators can also be incorporated to suit automated process control requirements.
