Titanium Check Valve

A titanium check valve automatically prevents reverse flow while providing corrosion-resistant construction for demanding fluid systems. Titanium Grade 2 is commonly selected where corrosion resistance is the primary requirement, while other titanium grades may be considered when greater mechanical strength is needed.

The disc, stem, spring and seating materials can be selected separately to suit the fluid, temperature and pressure, rather than requiring every component to be titanium.

Operation

The check valve operates automatically through differential pressure. Forward flow moves the disc, plates or closing element away from the seat, allowing the medium to pass. When flow decreases or reverses, the closing element returns toward the seat and restricts backflow. Titanium wetted components can maintain corrosion-resistant surfaces during repeated exposure to seawater, chlorides or selected aggressive process media.
