High-pressure pipelines can place considerable force on a conventional plug valve, making it harder to operate and increasing wear between the plug and body. A Pressure Balanced Plug Valve addresses this problem through internal pressure-balancing passages that help equalize the forces acting on the plug. This reduces the risk of the plug becoming tightly wedged against its seating surface during operation.
