Key Features & Applications
The Metal Seated Ball Valve has been developed to operate in situations where the conditions are harsh in terms of temperature and abrasives where the shut-off performance of soft seated ball valves may deteriorate due to wearing out or failure. The metal seating of the valve makes it very suitable in terms of erosion resistance, high pressures, high temperature and abrasive environments. African Valve is one of the leading Metal Seated Ball Valve Manufacturers in Nigeria, Egypt, South Africa, Kenya, Ghana, and other African countries, that manufactures and supplies this product in different material grades, pressure ratings, end connections and actuations. The Metal Seated Ball Valve is employed in cases where the operation involves high temperatures, high pressure, corrosive mediums, abrasive slurry, ash handling, catalysts, and situations where normal seats that are made of PTFE or similar material would not perform adequately. The seat and ball are hardened in order to create a metal to metal seal.. The ball valve operates through rotation of the ball 90 degrees from its fully open to its fully closed position. The ball, which is machined precisely from metal, mates with metal seats while being closed for creating a tight fit that can survive extreme conditions prevailing in the process. In order to make sealing surfaces more resistant to erosion, corrosion, and cycles of operation, hard-facing materials such as Stellite, Tungsten Carbide, Chromium Carbide, or others can be used. Fire-safety, anti-static, and blow-out proof stem may be included as extra features. The valve is manufactured using: Carbon Steel – ASTM A216 WCB Forged Carbon Steel – ASTM A105 Stainless Steel – ASTM A351 CF8 / CF8M Duplex Stainless Steel – ASTM A995 Grade 4A Super Duplex Stainless Steel – ASTM A995 Grade 5A Alloy Steel Construction features include: Metal-to-Metal Sealing Hard-Faced Ball and Seats Blow-out Proof Stem Fire-safe Construction Anti-static Device Full Bore and Reduced Bore options Flanged, Butt Weld, Socket Weld, and Threaded ends Lever, Gear, Pneumatic, Electric, and Hydraulic operation Size Range: DN15 to DN600 (½" to 24") Pressure Ratings: Class 150 to Class 2500 Design Standards: API 6D, API 608, ASME B16.34, ISO 17292 Testing Standard: API 598, API 607 End Connections: Flanged, Butt Weld, Socket Weld, Threaded Operation: Lever, Gear, Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Electric Metal Seated Ball Valves are commonly used in: Oil & Gas Petrochemical Plants Refineries Power Generation Mining Chemical Processing Cement Plants Steel Plants High-Temperature Process Lines Suitable for abrasive and high-temperature service Metal-to-metal sealing for extended service life Hard-faced sealing surfaces resist wear and erosion Performs under high pressure and severe operating conditions Available with manual or automated operation Manufactured according to international engineering standards African Valve manufactures Metal Seated Ball Valves in accordance with international engineering standards and customer project specifications. Every valve undergoes dimensional verification, hydrostatic shell testing, seat leakage testing, torque testing, and operational inspection before dispatch. Material Test Certificates (MTC), PMI reports, NDT reports, and quality documentation are available to support engineering approval and project compliance. African Valve supplies Metal Seated Ball Valves to refineries, power plants, petrochemical facilities, mining operations, cement plants, and industrial processing projects throughout Nigeria, Egypt, South Africa, Kenya, Ghana, and other African countries, along with international export markets. Valves are available in different material grades, hard-facing options, pressure ratings, end connections, and actuation systems to meet demanding process requirements.Metal Seated Ball Valve Manufacturer in Africa
