Reverse flow can damage pumps, disrupt pressure conditions and affect the performance of connected equipment. A Bronze Check Valve helps prevent this by allowing fluid to move in one direction and closing automatically when the flow stops or reverses.
In a swing-type design, the internal disc opens under forward flow pressure and returns to its seat when the pressure differential reverses. This allows the valve to operate without a handwheel, actuator or external power source. Bronze construction also offers corrosion resistance in compatible water and marine applications.
