Key Features & Applications

Carbon Steel Bellows Seal Globe Valve Manufacturer in Africa

Product Introduction

Applications involving high-temperature steam, thermal fluids, and hazardous process media require valves that minimize the possibility of stem leakage while maintaining accurate flow regulation. A Carbon Steel Bellows Seal Globe Valve combines the throttling capability of a globe valve with a welded metallic bellows that forms a leak-tight seal around the stem. Manufactured from carbon steel, the valve offers high mechanical strength and is suitable for moderate to high-pressure industrial services. African Valve is a Well-known Carbon Steel Bellows Seal Globe Valve Manufacturer in Africa, manufacturing and supplying valves in various pressure classes, end connections, and operating configurations for projects across Nigeria, Egypt, South Africa, Kenya, Ghana, and other African countries, along with international export destinations.

Why Is a Carbon Steel Bellows Seal Globe Valve Used?

Carbon Steel Bellows Seal Globe Valves are installed where controlled flow and external leak prevention are equally important. The welded bellows isolates the process media from the atmosphere, reducing emissions while protecting the stem packing from direct exposure. A secondary graphite packing serves as a backup seal, providing additional protection during extended operation. These valves are commonly used for steam, hot oil, hydrocarbons, condensate, gases, and other industrial process fluids where environmental protection and operational safety are key requirements.

Design & Working Principle

The valve operates through a threaded stem connected to a movable disc that travels vertically toward or away from the valve seat. As the handwheel or actuator rotates, the welded stainless steel bellows expands and contracts with stem movement while maintaining a sealed barrier around the stem. The disc gradually regulates the flow until it seats firmly to achieve positive shut-off. The carbon steel body provides structural strength for demanding operating conditions, while bolted bonnet construction and renewable seat rings simplify maintenance when required.
