WWA check valve for automatic backflow prevention in municipal water pipelines and pumping stations.
When a water pump stops or pressure changes within a distribution network, flow can reverse and place additional stress on pumps and connected pipelines. An AWWA Check Valve helps prevent this reverse movement by allowing water to flow in one direction and closing automatically when flow decreases or reverses.
In a swing-type arrangement, a hinged disc moves away from the seat under forward-flow pressure. As the flow slows, the disc returns towards the seat under gravity and reverse differential pressure. The valve operates without an external power supply or manual intervention.
African Valve is an AWWA Check Valve Suppliers in Egypt, serving municipal waterworks, pumping stations and industrial water projects in Nigeria, Egypt and South Africa.
