Double Offset Butterfly Valve

In a double offset design, the shaft is positioned away from the centre of the valve and behind the disc centre. When the disc starts to open, it moves away from the seat rather than rubbing continuously against it. This reduces friction and can help extend the life of the sealing surfaces.

The valves are available in different body materials, pressure ratings, seat designs and operating arrangements. The final selection depends on the fluid, pressure, temperature and pipeline requirements.
