Standards
ASME B16.34 is applicable to valve constructions within its scope and addresses pressure-temperature ratings, materials, dimensions, testing and marking. API 623, however, specifically covers steel globe valves and should not be presented as a universal Hastelloy globe-valve standard. API 598 can be applied where the valve is specified for its inspection and testing requirements.
